Helping people feel more at home in their bodies.

Portrait in a quiet movement studio

For a long time I dealt with chronic lower back pain and nerve pain I couldn't fully explain. I wasn't doing anything obviously wrong, but the problem was there in everything: the way I stood, the way I walked, just how I existed in my body day to day. That same pattern followed me into every sport I played, tennis included. I tried a lot of things. They helped, sometimes. But nothing stuck because nothing was addressing what was actually happening. I'd built up layers of compensation just to find stability in my own body and those workarounds were the problem. I studied a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Sciences, but the more I learned, the more I felt something was missing. The traditional model looks at the body in parts: this muscle, that joint, this diagnosis. I kept coming back to the bigger picture: how everything connects, and how the way you move through space shapes everything else. That shift in thinking is what changed things for me, and it's what I bring to my coaching today. I've worked with people carrying all kinds of unique complications: chronic back pain, sciatica, disc bulges, knee injuries, scoliosis. The answer is rarely something new. It's about reconnecting what's already there and rebuilding the foundation of how you move.
